I have a meeting in 3 minutes, so I need to be quick. This was the best show I have ever seen the moans do and the crowd went nuts! I messed up and set 1 camera too high so Matt looks like he is only singing without the bass. Oh well.

Sorry about the audio quality on this one. If you want your video to sound good, you *never* go behind the PA mains. Well, in order to get Jeff (drummer) in the shot, I had to put my mic directly under the PA main, which gives it kind of a garbled sound. Thankfully with was Matt Bennett’s smooooooth pop punk vocals or it would have been worse. I’ve already mentioned Danny Secretion’s benefit (GO TONIGHT), but I also wanted to mention the Café Colonial. It is the best all ages venue in the city. There is just a relaxed vibe (courtesy of matt marrujo) and it is very inclusive. There is a wonderful mix of creative people here of all backgrounds, ages (I’m the old one) and the food & drink is good & reasonably priced. They have FREE retro video game events and movie nights. You should go one night… but tonight, you are going to the Blue Lamp. Remember?

This was a tough show to film. The show was sold out, which means there is noplace to put any tripods in the club.. so I taped a monopod to the wall. It looks goofy as hell, but it worked. You can see my pro duct taping job about 26min into this video. Taped with a Canon HFG30 on the monopod, HFG10 taped to the wall, and Jason Ellis’ sweet Schoeps MK4 audio recording was used for the audio. Edited together by Agelos. Thanks to everyone for the work- it turned out great!

Here’s the Moans set, opening for MTX at the Blue Lamp. Sorry to Matt for cutting the top of your head off on the camera in the back.. and to Jeffrey for managing to miss getting him in the shot on every angle of a 3 piece band.
