Suicidal always brings a surprising amount of energy to the show. They shocked me and pretty much stole the show back at Orion Fest in 2012. These festival sets are a greatest hit parade and the crowd loved it.

So there was this big punk rock festival on Father’s Day. I got there a little late while L7 was playing. The video is only OK, the rest of the bands turned out much better. I was still trying to find a good spot to shoot.

This was the first time I had seen Pennywise- I have heard a ton of live tapes so I knew what to expect. They were pretty funny (best stage banter of the day) and tight. Worst sound mix of the day, for some reason. As expected, everyone went nuts for Bro Hymn.

Headlining The Bash were Rancid. I saw them a few years back at Riot Fest Denver, during a torrential rainstorm.. but this was the first time in a LONG time that I was able to enjoy a set of theirs. Greatest hits festival set- I am only a casual fan and I knew just about every song.
