Testament- Aftershock Festival, Discovery Park, Sacramento Ca. 10/7/21 Thrash Live 4k UHD Enhanced

The last set that I caught on night 1 was the last 35 min of Testament’s set at the “coors no light” stage. I put this one into Adobe Premiere and cranked the brightness and it is STILL dark. Ugh. The mix coming out of the PA was odd as well- each guitar was in one side of the line array. I didn’t know this and as a result, you can’t hear Alex at all in the mix. Oh well. I did my best.
Another thing- I admit that I have not been super close to the thrash metal scene for a while now– but when did Testament get so much bigger than bands like Exodus? I thought it was some kind of scheduling mixup, but no, they appear to have a lot more fans.

Testament- Mountain View Theater 4/22/88 transfer from low gen VHS tape Thrash Speed Heavy Metal

Kicking both posts out early today- One from Chris Eng’s collection here. This one seems to be low gen- possibly a first gen copy. Pretty cool early show from testament- this is the last show before The New Order LP was released a few weeks later.
