This is a pretty unique show- Bobby’s guitar was not getting power for a good portion of the set, so the rest of the band did a bunch of dub versions of the song with the crowd singing along. I love spontaneous moments like these. The power loss/singalong starts at about 5min in. The crowd just keeps going when Kevin’s mic loses power as well. SO cool.
This was filmed by my good friend Jim Utz. Like I have mentioned before, cameras, tapes and batteries were super expensive back then (that’s why there are not a ton of opening band videos). Jim would record the master on a VHS-C tape and transfer it to VHS, then record another show on the VHS-C tape. So, this is a transfer from the lowest surviving copy of the show.
