Sheer Terror- Den of Sin, Sacramento Ca. 10/25/19 4K UHD Live NYHC Hardcore

Posting this one out of order for Dan Hague & Agelos- they are big fans.
But also, this was probably the funniest moment of the weekend. I was listening them do their set of Hardcore classics and I hear a song that was vaguely familiar but I couldn’t place it. After about the first verse and chorus, it dawned on me HOLY SHIT they are covering an Old 97s ballad, Salome! First they do a shout-out from stage about The Blasters and Dave Alvin, then a 97s cover. awesomely bizarre. Glad they don’t take the “hardcore rules” too seriously.

If you are one of my friends from the alt.country side of things, you can skip to Salome at about 21:00.

Sheer Terror- Den of Sin, Sacramento Ca. 10/25/19 Multicam with Rode Videomic Pro Stereo NYHC Punk

This was the band that my friend Tromster wanted me to film the most out of this incredibly stacked lineup at Den of Sin… so of course, everything goes wrong with the cameras. The gopro bass angle misses the start of the set, then the battery dies on the guitar gopro before the end of the set. Sorry.
At 22:40 of the set, they started this catchy song and it sounded vaguely familiar. It took me until the 2nd verse to catch that they were doing Salome by The Old 97s! Who knew that old Pauly Bearer and Sheer Terror enjoy alt country. Awesome. Murry Hammond and Ken Bethea- you may want to check it out. Definitely a unique cover version! I think the next song is a cover too- I can’t place it.
