Collections time- this one is from Guerin Myall’s cache of (mostly) DV Master tapes. The tape just said “RKL in HB w/Boz”. No date, venue etc. If I get more info from Guerin, I’ll update the post.

NEW collection from Scott Hamilton. It’s 6 tapes, but it has a bunch of Muffs so it warrants an announcement! Thanks Scott for sending the tapes over.
I knew that UCSB had bands in studio on their radio station, but I had never seen a Muffs tape until Scott sent it. It’s a little distorted at the start but it settles down a few minutes in. The band played so loud that it is nice to hear an early live performance that is decent quality.

Here’s a tape that must be pretty well-circulated from the 1990s tape trading circles, but has not made its way to youtube yet. This is another one requested by Todd Pritchard, from Jason Ross’ collection.
Side note: This was marked on Jason’s tape as 10/10/89, but he corrected the date to 8/8/90.

I pulled and digitized a VHS tape for today’s on this date in history. I don’t do it often because it is a huge ordeal to do a quick turnaround on VHS since the lossless files are so big, but this one is pretty cool and nowhere near this quality that I can find online.
I got this from the guy who filmed this and some other good stuff in the area- he did Toad the Wet Sprocket when they were just starting out in tiny clubs. I think his name is/was David.

Enhanced(light denoise) in Adobe Premiere Elements/Neat Video
I cleaned my desk and found a few of my VHS tapes that I digitized quite a while ago, so I’ll be posting those along with the recent masters for the next week or so.
This is on the same tape as the Janes Addiction that I posted a year or so ago and I swear that I have the entire set. Maybe I shut off the VCR since I was in a hurry. If there is enough interest, I’ll re-do the entire thing after the video capture setup is back up.
