Here’s the LAWN episode you have all been waiting for! lawn was not comprised of members of other bands, LAWN is an entity. LAWN is: Tod Sod(Ric Ivanisevich)-Lead Guitar; Clovis McDivot(Chris McCann)- Rhythm Guitar, Vocals; Pete Moss (Paul Stanley Niklewicz)- Bass, vocals; The Hedge (Steve Marshall)- Drums.
We all knew Gun (with an umlaut “U”, pronounced “goon”) as Dennis Yudt’s band. He gained errr.. fame? Hatred?…. Let’s call it notoriety as the Cattle Club’s DJ, The Master Bastard. Pete Husing was on Guitar, Dennis on vocals, Tony Cle on drums and Scott Maurer on bass. This is probably the best quality, most complete performance of the band. I taped them doing KZAP- themed covers at Cattle in 1991, and they had a song on Very Small Records’ “Qwertyuiop!” comp. Huge thanks to Lizz Fisher for making these shows happen and for letting me transfer the Umatic masters!

The ones on youtube previously now were digitized from VHS tapes, these are from the TV station Umatic master tapes. Better audio and video quality. Thanks to Lizz for sending her tapes over to the archive here.
Not much info on this band- members are not listed on end credits but they did say their names during the interview: Johnny Nightmare- Guitar; The Nightmare- Drums; Reuben Nightmarez- Keyboards & Samples; Nightmare Nightmare- Bass. Either that is a crazy coincidence, or these aren’t their real names.
They played the Jerry Perry benefit in 2018 as well.

Brutal Groove was Debbie Gunn’s band post- Sentinel Beast’s (ver 1 and 2) breakup… but it’s not just Debbie’s band. A young blond Joe Fraulob (Danzig, Deconsttruct, many more) played guitar in the band. Randy Valdez on bass and Joe Pregno on drums. I have a demo here that also needs to be digitized.

A few of us were lucky to see the Davis Old Tyme reunion at Sudwerk a couple months back and it was fantastic. Popealopes were one of the highlights of the night imho. Stay tuned for their set and the rest of the sets from that day. 2 up, 10 or more to go!
This continues the project of digitizing Lizz’ archival Umatic tapes for high quality audio and video compared to the VHS/broadcast versions. This one sounds fantastic!
