Red Hot Chili Peppers- Hoosier Ballroom Indianapolis In 11/29/86 xfer f/1st gen VHS rebalanced audio

This video has been around a long time. Well circulated.. but I think this one might be the best version available. This comes from a lossless transfer of the VHS copy straight from Tony Philputt’s master tape. I pulled the audio track off the tape and rebalanced it- I boosted the bass way up plus touched up the guitar and vocals a little. Also brightened and adjusted contrast, degrained in adobe/neat video, then popped the new audio track in and processed it. Not bad.

It’s pretty wild that the band has 2 full shows documented 5 days apart, when they were at the top of the game. Thanks Tony.

Red Hot Chili Peppers- Open Air Theater, San Diego Ca 9/13/85 xfer from ? Gen cassette

Big thanks to Angelo Bertini for telling me what to do- Angelo wanted this RHCP tape digitized… aaand it’s not very good. Sorry. I processed the heck out of it to make it listenable. EQ, Rebalance, Dehum, and here it is. It’s no longer awful.

My tape is marked as 2/22/86, but a search on newspapers dot com and the RHCP live website shows that the only time they played this venue at the time was on 9/13/85 when they opened for X. So, I’m listing both dates as possibilities.
