What a busy day. I need to jam on this post to get it in today. Pure Trask opened the Civil War Rust show last month and pulled out a Creedence cover. I got a little too excited about them doing this in El Cerrito.

Locals only video weekend continues. Pure trash is based here in Sac, and with a name like that, I was expecting loud and angry hardcore. They were melodic and pop punky with 1 main lead vocalist and friend Dean Crist playing bass and doing the harmony vocals. Good stuff!
Funny side story- I went up to the band’s merch table and asked one of the guys if he minded if I video’d. He told me “we already have a video guy”. I was like “OK whatever”, then he came back and told me I could video if I wanted… glad I did. They were good. If they are on a local bill with Lamonta, I would totally head out.
