Monsula- 1-2-3-4 Go Records, Oakland Ca. 12/27/16 Multicam 1234 Gilman Punk

I posted the 1 camera version of this back in December, right after the show. I don’t know if you have been to the 1234 Records concert room, but it is SUPER SMALL with no place to set up multiple cameras. I actually had all of my cameras in my backpack, but they had no place to go. So I stuck a gopro on top of an electrical outlet on stage. It was way too low of a shot and it cut some heads off, but it was the best I could do. We debated editing this, but there are no multicams of Monsula out there at all, so we went for it. Hope you like it! 2 cameras: Canon HFG30 with Rode VPS mic, and a gopro on stage.

Success- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 9/9/16 Multicam Punk

I saw Success open a surprise 7 seconds show at Starlite about a year ago and really liked them, so I was happy to see that they were coming back. That “Nowhere Kids” song kicks ass. Only 3 cameras on this one since the gopro battery died. 1 canon HFG30 w/Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic; 1 Canon HFG30 on tripod & 1 HFG10 by the stage.

The Dickies- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 7/11/16 Multicam Punk Canon HFG30

This was a show I had been looking forward to for quite a while- Dickies/Queers/Moans, and so thankful that Stan let me video. With Leonard’s skin tone and the bright white spotlight on him most of the night (and dark on other parts of the stage), it made filming a challenge. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG10 and 2 Canon HFG30. Audio from the HFG30 with Rode video pro microphone. Thanks to Agelos for the edit.

Queers- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 7/11/16 Multicam Pop Punk

Here’s the Queers’ set, opening for the Dickies this past July. It’s really great to see them touring again. Lighting was a challenge, so I adjusted the exposure of each camera a little differently to capture the bright and dark areas of the stage. Hope you enjoy. Recorded with 2 Canon HFG10, and 2 Canon HFG30. Audio from rode video pro stereo mic.

No Alternative- Lennon Studios, San Francisco Ca. 6/18/16 Multicam Punk

Here’s No Alternative’s set from the benefit for Hugh & Jimmy. So, this was supposed to be an all-instrumental set since Hugh was not supposed to sing.. but we got a couple of the old hardcore classics anyway. Thanks to Jim Pitts for the invite to film, and to Agelos for the edit work.

Globs- Spectre Records, Reno Nv. 5/1/16 Sacramento Punk Charles Albright Bananas pt. 1

I’ve had multiple requests to post this one. I guess there is very little out there by them. Features members of The Banans, Charles Albright, and Little Tents. Sorry about the vocals being nonexistent. The only good video angle was behind the PA. I am trying to get better audio to synch up with the video.

The Freeze- Jub Jub’s Thirst Parlor, Reno Nv. 5/1/16 Multicam Boston Punk Hardcore

Boston legends The Freeze ended thri first US tour ever (together almost 40 years, first national tour) in Reno. Since they did not make a stop in Sac or SF, I drove up to Reno. I was able to talk to Clif before the show and that is always a pleasure- he has SO many stories. Anyway, this was an interesting night. Jub Jub’s smaller room (they have 2) has brick walls and a ceiling that is about 30 feet high, which is a live audio recording nightmare. I ask the sound guy for soundboard access, and he points to a little blue light about 15 feet above the bar. “see that? that’s the board. can’t get up there”. So, sorry to say that the audio is pretty bad. You can’t hear vocals for the first part of the show. It’s too bad, because it is a great show and all angles turned out nice. I hope you can enjoy regardless. It sounded just like it did that night… Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30 & 1 HFG10. Audio via rode video pro stereo mic. Thanks to Agelos for the excellent edit work!
