Opinion Zero- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca. 7/12/87 xfer from low gen soundboard tape rebalanced

It’s mediocre Monday! FB friend Dean Miles posted a flyer for this show, so I figured I would pull this tape out and post it today. This was the first show I ever saw at Gilman.
Classic Gilman, by the way. First, the band (and location) is introduced incorrectly. The band had to correct the announcement.
Guitars and snare were a bit distant, so I rebalanced it in Izotope Rx8: Bass +8, Guitar +5, Snare +2

Last Option- Interview, 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 7/12/87 xfer f/low gen audio tape

This is the last of the lo-fi interviews from Chris Eng’s collection. It has been kinda fun trying to sleuth these things out. The funny thing was that these interviews were each done at a separate venue, but all in July 1987. I figured this one out because of the focus on Arizona.. and I remembered that there was an “Arizona invades gilman” show in July of 1987. How did I remember this? It was my first-ever show at Gilman! Also, they mention going to the show at The Farm the day before, which was that Day at the Farm that the Twisted interview came from, on July 11.

This one is hard to listen to- tons of background noise. At least it is only 5 minutes worth. More music from Chris’ collection next time.

Opinion Zero- Storm and Stress Demo 1987 xfer from low gen? Cassette Tuscon Az

This one was on one of James Edmonds’ cassettes. It looks like a dubbed copy, but it also has the original heavy stock J-Card in there… so is it an original demo? Dunno. It has a ton of hiss, so I assume not. This was one of the very first bands I saw at Gilman- they played the first one I attended.. not sure if I saw these guys or Last Option first. Tracklist is in the video image, about a minute in.
