7 Seconds- The Boathouse, Norfolk Va. 7/27/88 xfer from unknown gen VHS tape

I’m trying to mix it up each day and provide a mix of audio and video. I love seeing 7 Seconds shows when they are on tour. I don’t know why, but the Sacramento shows they played over the past 10 years did not have the same crowd energy as these. This one is a lot of fun to watch- the crowd and the band are totally into it!
The guy who filmed this seems to have posted the Circle Jerks set from this night, but not the 7 Seconds portion. I wonder why. I will be forever bummed that the Circle Jerks did not give me permission to film that June 1988 show. This guy must have had connections!

Camper Van Beethoven- King’s Head Inn, Norfolk Va 8/11/86 xfer from 2nd gen soundboard cassette

it’s a LATE post from the collections today. I had posted a bunch of spoken word stuff from Anonymous’ collection so I decided to digitize some of the other tapes in his collection… 7 hours and 10gb later and I now have a few months worth of stuff to post.

This one isn’t great quality but it isn’t online or on archive dot org. I decided to put it up to recognize the CVB shows happening at The Fillmore this weekend. I have tickets but I am still waiting for a camera pass. Sigh.

The show starts out with some in-your-face violin from Jonathan during Abundance, then the mix settles down a bit. I tried to fix it in Izotope but I don’t know if I made it better or worse. Oh well.
