Fifteen- Le Chateau, Berkeley Ca April 1992 Xfer from 8mm master tape Jeff Ott Crimpshrine

Here’s a funny happy ending to a story that happened a couple weeks ago. There was some confusion around who taped a 1991 Green Day show at Gilman, and we ultimately figured out that Rodney Parker filmed the show. Rodney and I reconnected to help figure out the Green Day thing, which started up an old conversation that we had around digitizing his master tapes. We did the ol’ tape handoff last week and here is the first post from his & his wife’s collection.
FYI, I am pretty sure that all of these had been digitized before and posted over at his awesome bay area punk shows youtube page- we figured it would be a good idea to run them through the lossless transfer setup and denoise them and post them again.
This is a good teaser for the Fifteen show that is happening in 2 weeks from today in Santa Rosa. It is a benefit so you might want to pick up tickets if you want to go. There seems to be a lot of excitement around the show!

Engage- Le Chateaux, Berkeley Ca 4/92 xfer from 8mm master tape Enhanced Santa Rosa Hardcore

Late post today- here is one that I received from Rodney Parker and it was filmed by his wife Erika. Funny story behind this one- Rodney was going through some boxes in storage and came across these. That’s pretty cool when you discover that your wife filmed shows too!
This one was a tough one to enhance. It starts really well-lit, then the lights go out about halfway through. I brightened it to a good midpoint, but I am afraid I did not denoise it enough. Pretty grainy. I might take another swing at this one.
