Kevin & Allyson Seconds, Kepi Ghoulie, Anton Barbeau- Chalk it Up Fest, Sacramento 9/3/17 Canon G30

I am SO GLAD that I braved the heat (111 degree forecast!) and made it out to Chalk it Up this year. The heat seemed to keep the crowd a bit lighter than the last time I was there(2015), but everyone who attended was in for a huge treat. I have seen Kepi & Kevin do these round-robin acoustic shows with other guests in the past, and they have always been great. This one was “off the hook crazy and fun” great. Maybe it was the heat that affected everyone’s brain. Who know, but it was the best performance I have seen by these guys (and lady). Recorded with the Canon HFG30 and Rode Video Pro Stereo mic

Kepi Ghoulie- The Colony, Sacramento Ca. 1/21/16 OLD Groovie Ghoulies songs & Green Day cover! Pt 1

I was not even supposed to be in town for this show, but I missed a flight for a work trip so I made a last-minute decision to go.. and I am so glad I did! Kepi got some guys from local Sacramento band The Strange Party to back him up. They played songs I had not heard in 20 years- Blood Beach, 50,000 Spaceships and more! There’s even a Green Day cover in the set. It was great seeing everyone- friends, people who performed, and people who made it happen.

Kepi Ghoulie- Shine, Sacramento Ca 1/3/14 Master Audio recording Sony PCM-M10 stock mics

Hey there! I haven’t posted in 2 and a half days. That’s the longest gap in months.. maybe even a year. I took the family to Las Vegas and I spent 11 and 1/2 hours driving to and from Death Valley on Thanksgiving. I am home and super tired.
Anyway, I recorded these 2 sets almost 8 years ago. It was date night so I didn’t nerd up and use the good mics. This is just the stock mics on the PCM-M10.
Kepi does at least 1 song I have never heard him do before- 1333. It doesn’t sound too bad for me just half assing the taping thing that night.

Kepi Ghoulie w/ The Mean Jeans: New Parish, Oakland Ca. 5/16/13 Pt 1 Multicam Groovie Ghoulies Set!

I love this video. This is the first multi camera show we did. Kepi and Mean Jeans practiced ONCE to prepare for the show, and I was there. They just counted off and bang, they were tight as can be. It was great to hear the old songs again. Stage camera is mine (HF200) and the center balcony camera is Rodney’s (Bay Area Punk Shows) – he has a JVC GZ-EX250. Soundboard audio and it is a nice mix. Go see Kepi & Mean Jeans- they are on tour now! Huge thanks to Agelos, Bong and Yannis for the mixing and artwork for the DVD.
