Guns N’ Roses- Warfield, San Francisco 2/5/88 xfer from audio cassette complete full show

I pulled this tape for today’s On The Day in History post. I have had this tape since the late 80s (tape #872 lands it at about 1988/9 time frame), but I don’t know the lineage of the tape. It must be somewhat hard to find, as it isn’t online anywhere. It might have come from Ron Quintana or another old school metal tape trader since Diamond Head’s set at Reading in 82 was at the end of the tape. I really wish I kept better track of the people I traded with.
Anyway, it’s an average sounding audience recording for the time. I EQ’d out some light distortion and it sounds alright. It’s listenable.
If anyone knows who taped it, let me know.

Guns n Roses- Crest Theater, Sacramento Ca 2/4/88 xfer from master cassette tape GNR

Here is a very special one today, courtesy of Jim Edwards. I had heard about this show after GNR blew up later that year, but never heard of any recordings. I figured it didn’t get taped and was lost to history. No flyers, no recordings… just word of mouth accounts of the show.
Then Jim Edwards reached out to me and let me know that he taped this show and that Aerosmith one that I posted last week. Thanks Jim!
It starts off pretty decent, but as the volume of the show increases, the quality of the recording decreases. I did my best to EQ out distortion.
Still can’t believe this exists.
