Good Riddance- Punk in the Park, Cow Palace, Daly City 5/3/25 4K UHD Multicam w/Schoeps Audio 7 cam

Here is the first multicam edit from the Punk in the Park show back in May. HUGE thanks goes out to Shawn for inviting me there to video RKL. Another huge thanks to Guerin Myall for sending over his 4k camera angles to use. This one is a 7 Camera multicam! First time we have ever done such an eloborate 4k edit! Thanks also to punksnotdeadgr for the edit- glad that edit PC didn’t melt down doing this one.

The only drawback is the audio IMHO. The audio track is my schoeps mics and while it sounds pretty good, I needed to look upward at my camera screen throughout the show and you can really tell that I was moving the mics around while doing that. It must have been the size of the venue. Just nitpicking I guess. Hey John Loughney- did you record this set? How does it sound?

Recorded by: Shayne Stacy and Guerin Myall
Equipment used: G9ii monopod, G9ii Tripod, and 5(!) Guerin Angles
Audio from Schoeps CCM4 mics, Naiant Tinybox preamp, Sony A10 digital recorder

Good Riddance- Punk in the Park, Cow Palace, Daly City 5/3/25 4K UHD Multicam w/better Schoeps Audio

Alright, you get not one but TWO 4K Multicam videos from Punk in the Park. This one is a repost with better audio.
We had been holding off on these punk in the park videos because my Schoeps recordings were NOT good. The problem is that I need to look upward at my camera screen which points the mics up at the ceiling. Thank goodness that John Loughney was there to record as well!

Recorded by: Shayne Stacy
Equipment used: G9ii monopod, G9ii Tripod, and 5(!) Guerin angles
Audio recorded by: John Loughney
Equipment used: Schoeps MK4, BabyNBox, Sony A10, WAV (24/48), SoundForge (levels, fades, declick)

Good Riddance- Old Ironsides, Sacramento Ca 6/3/23 4K UHD Master Schoeps CCM4 Audio Santa Cruz Punk

As promised, here is Good Riddance’s set at the TINY Old Ironsides. I am still shocked that they played such a small venue. The place sold out and it was PACKED in there. I was planning to do multicam video, but I got there late (read about the comedy of errors on the urethane post). It’s a good thing I didn’t try- my gear would not have survived that crowd.
I made a last minute decision to bring the HFG60 and use a LANC controller, which is like a remote control that lets me pan/zoom and make adjustments. Good thing I did, since I had to jack up my monopod to the ceiling in order to get a decent angle of the band- Old I’s stage is low. Old I’s stage also had some issues with lighting recently, but that has mostly been corrected. As you can see, there is no fill light coming from the side of the stage that I film from.
Despite all of the issues, I think it came out pretty good. The audio sounds fantastic, thanks to the schoeps.
