Flame- Niles Station, Fremont Ca 2/23/90 transfer from master VHS tape Hard Rock Glam Hair Metal

Alright, this one should get your Monday off to a good start. We are starting to dig into the Flame videos that Laura Martinez shot. This one comes from a club I had not heard of before- Niles Station- and it sounds really nice for a stock camcorder mic. It looks like the building is now a tea shop.

The video time stamp shows 2/28/90, but Laura’s tape is marked 2/23. 2/28 was a Wednesday, 2/23 was a Saturday so I am figuring that 2/23 is probably the accurate date.

Flame- Niles Station, Fremont Ca 3/3/90 transfer from master VHS tape Hard Rock Glam Hair Metal

OK folks, I made a mistake with a post a couple weeks back. I thought that the Flame video I posted back on June 8 was the 3/3/90 show, but we know that Laura Martinez shot both shows on the tape and she didn’t know how to time travel, so the 2/23/90 show had to be the first one on the tape. I will fix the info on that one later tonight. Here is the real 3/3/90 show. This one is 30 minutes, the 2/23/90 show is 70 minutes.

Flame- The S3xual Kind Demo 1987 xfer f/master audio cassette San Francisco Hard Rock/Glam band

This one is from a NEW audio collection from Laura Martinez. I have never seen so many Sacramento/Bay Area Hard Rock/Glam demos in one place before!

Flame were from San Francisco and they put out a couple of LP’s in the late 80s/early 90s. The self released one is going for $375 on discogs, so they must still have a following. Laura has multiple demos of the band, so more to come!

This is a demo recorded a couple years before they released that self-titled LP.
