Avengers- Dangerhouse Reunion Show, Echoplex, Los Angeles 11/9/14 Part 1

I am pretty happy with the quality of this one. It’s challenging to record a band when they have uneven lighting- they had a film projected on them as they played- but it’s not too bad. Please give it a few minutes for me to adjust my camera settings. Sounds great! I was holding the HFG30 over my head to film this, and the camera is heavy- it was like a 5 hour punk rock yoga lesson- I was sore for a couple days afterwards. Jim Utz, Penelope Houston and Lance Davis might want to see this one. 🙂 Jim flew from St. Louis for these shows!!

This is part 1 only- you can find the rest of the show on Youtube

The Deadbeats- Echoplex,Los Angeles Ca 11/9/14 HD Master w/Rode Videomic Pro Geza X Dangerhouse Reun

I checked the video list for today’s On This Date in History, and it seems that I filmed a bunch of bands at the Dangerhouse Reunion show at the Echoplex 11 years ago and never posted any except for The Avengers. Here is The Deadbeats’ very energetic set. I am glad that my friend Jim Utz came to California and convinced me to go to this show. It was a lot of fun. It was great meeting Lisa Fancher in person so I could gush about The Adolescents and Thin White Rope. Fun night.

Please note- adult images in this video so I am making it 18+. Log in before viewing.

The Stains- Echoplex, Los Angeles Ca April 2010 xfer f/Master DV Tape Josh Parten Collection Punk

This is from Josh Parten’s collection. Unfortunately, it is incomplete and audio is super distorted. It looks like Louis Elovitz also video’d this, so maybe watch his on Vimeo and then flip back to this one with the sound off and you can pretend it is a multicamera.

Seriously though, this seems to be a rare appearance from the band and they are most likely done after founding and only consistent member Robert Becerra passed away in 2023.
