Ground Round- Eagles Club, Green Bay Wi 6/21/94 transfer from master VHS tape Sonoma County Punk

I wasn’t planning on posting 2 videos from Jason Ross’ collection today but that is just kinda how it worked out. I was moving Jason’s collection recently and I found a TON of great stuff filmed by him and by the Byrne brothers in the Chicago area along with a lot of other potentially rare stuff. Expect lots of fun!

Ground Round were Adam Labelle (Potatomen/Sewer Trout Experience); Gabe Meline (Tilt, KQED editor, curator of the Disturbing the Peace exhibit and the guy who had the Green Day Santa Rosa Tape!), and Josh Clem on drums.

This one was dark as well so I did what I could in Adobe and Neat video.

Quincy Punx- Eagles Club, Green Bay Wi 6/21/94 transfer from master VHS tape Minneapolis Punk

Quincy Punx was a Minneapolis punk band that started in 1990 with a long history. See discogs for the novel-length writeup if you dare. They “headlined” the Ground Round show that I posted a couple weeks back.

This one was dark as well so I did my best with Adobe and Neat video to brighten it up a bit. The light behind the drummer was the primary light source in the venue.

The Insignificant- Eagles Club, Sheboygan Wi 5/22/93 xfer from 1st gen VHS tape Pennsylvania Punk

Here is one from Jason Ross’ collection and I have to admit that I have never heard of the band. I tried to look them up and there isn’t much out there- it looks like a band named The Insignificant who was active at this time released 2 7″s on Vandal Children Records. There is 1 2-song live video of a band with the name playing in Reno in 1994. That’s it. No band member names, nothing else that I can find.

So if that is really them, they sure got around on 2 7″ releases. Hopefully Jason or another of the Midwest/east coast punk historians (kelsey, tom) can shed some light.

Slayer- Eagles Club, Milwaukee Wi. 4/6/85 xfer from master audio cassette Thrash Metal

Here is the correct info for today’s post. When I don’t have enough time to prep these posts, I make mistakes. Thanks to TM Doug for shooting me a mail right away to let me know.
I found this image online and it made me laugh. It was outside the venue on the day of this show, but it’s exactly how I remember the scene when we hung out backstage in April (Crest Thtr) and August (Club Can’t Tell) of 1985. Nice guys and a party atmosphere.
