Drowning Adam- Shaker’s Pub, Citrus Heights Ca. 10/28/16 Pt. 1

For my first stop last night, I headed down the street to Shaker’s pub for the Drowning Adam reunion. Nathan & Travis from the band were best friends in high school with my stepson, Jeremy. Jeremy was always trying to get me to go see them, but I always blew it off because I was a dumb shit. They are a GREAT band and it is a mystery to me why they weren’t signed by a medium to large size label back when they were active 15 years ago. Also, Travis recognized me even though I had not seen him for about 20 years. Good job. 🙂 Nice seeing you again. Now I am headed over to bandcamp to buy their entire discography and catch up. Recorded with the Canon HFG30 and Rode Video Pro Stereo mic.

Drowning Adam- 1st EP Early 2000’s Sacramento Pop Punk xfer from Band Archive

Here’s a real special one for you today. Back in the mid-1990s, my stepson Jeremy became friends with a couple guys from high school- Nathan Castillo and Travis Damman. The 3 of them were inseparable for years. Nathan and Travis went on to play in at least a couple bands, including this one. I was lucky to catch what might be their last reunion show at Shakers back in 2016 (video in the archive).

I had no idea this EP even existed. I knew of the full-length and have a copy of it here, but David Lindsay asked me about it at a show back in November, so I got to work to find it. I checked with Nathan and he pointed me to Vocalist Ryan Scalise. Ryan sent these tracks to me last week- thanks Ryan!

Tracks:
Innocence
Just Wanted You to Know
Bottle for Two
Reminding Me
That Lonely Day
That’s the Way it has to be
Like Ryan
