Drive Like Jehu- Great American Music Hall, San Francisco 9/16/94 xfer from DAT SBD Master Clone

A bunch of friends have been paying tribute to Rick Froberg after his passing- 55 is way too young to pass from natural causes. Tragic.
I didn’t know Rick, I think I talked to him once to ask if I could video his band (Pitchfork at Gilman). That Pitchfork video is already posted on the website- not the greatest lighting, sound or performance unfortunately.
This one was taped by Marcus Winfree- he taped Jehu at least 4 times, that’s how many DAT board tapes I received from him back in the 90s. I happened to meet Marcus a few years back at a Grand Champeen show in Austin- we had traded in the mid/late 90s but never met. Small world.
Anyway, I hope fans of Rick’s work and fans of Jehu enjoy this.

Drive Like Jehu- Twisters, Richmond Va 6/6/94 xfer from DAT Soundboard Master Clone Live RFTC Reis

Here’s one that I wouldn’t have digitized for a long time, but Henry Owings asked for it. The tape is 30 years old, so unfortunately there are a couple of bursts of static/diginoise.
Believe it or not, this mix was even worse- I rebalanced this in Izotope rx7: Bass +8db, Guitar +6.5db… and there still isnt enough guitar in the mix! Oh well, I tried.
