Uncle Tupelo- Stache’s, Columbus OH. 3/6/92 xfer from band archive cassette

Here’s yet another Uncle Tupelo soundboard from the band’s archive. This is from a short run of shows opening for Teenage Fanclub. The date was unknown for years(estimated at 2/02), but we were able to pinpoint the date since.

Great set. I love when they play “I Found That Essence Rare” by Gang of Four.

SNFU- Neely B’s, Columbus Oh 9/24/87 xfer from 2nd gen VHS tape S.N.F.U. Chi Pig

For today’s On This Date in History, I pulled from one of my own old VHS transfers. I used to trade with someone in Ohio who would get these tapes from the filmer. The picture was always had a green hue and the audio was always tinny. The filmer shot tons of shows at Neely B’s- AOD, Dag Nasty and tons more. They also followed Government Issue through Europe and did just about every show of the tour in 1988ish. Wish I still had all those tapes. Maybe the masters will pop up someday. With the lossless setup and good post production software, we could de-green them and make them look pretty good.
