Groovie Ghoulies- Cesar Chavez Park, Sacramento 5/16/03 Concerts in the Park
Here is the 2nd time I saw GG at the park. 1st time was 1996, last time (and their last time) was in 2006. Man, I still miss them. I must have arrived late because it seems like a partial set. And it looks like I walked in on a Haints mini set! Wow!

Go National- Concerts in the Park, Cesar Chavez Plaza 8/2/02 Audio only sbd w/ Jonah Matranga Far
Here’s a show that I had no recollection of even being there, and then a bunch of memories came back to me after listening to it. I attended/recorded 2 Go National shows at CIP- one at the Miller Park location in 2000 and this one in 2002. I am not sure if this picture is from the actual 2002 show, but since it is the only Go National CIP photo I had ever seen, it is shown here. Includes a short unannounced bonus set by Jonah Matranga from Far at the end.
Recorded by: Shayne Stacy (I think Jim Mclain recorded as well)
Recording equipment used: Sony TCD-D7 DAT in soundboard
Transfer equipment: Sony PCMR500 and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card
Rebalance in Izotope rx7 (bass, drums, guitar +3)
Groovie Ghoulies- Concerts in the Park, Cesar Chavez Plaza, Sacramento 8/2/02 Sbd from Master DAT
Man, this is a great performance. The band’s parents were there along with just about the entire Sacramento punk scene, and you could tell that they were pumped. It sounds like they just returned from tour. This is one of the longest CIP sets I had ever heard.
The board mix was good to start, but I played around with it in Izotope and I like it even better now.
Features a Monkees cover- R.I.P. nez.
Jim, did you shoot video? I only have this DAT soundboard.
