Blatz- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 5/31/91 xfer from VHS Master Tape Enhanced Punk

Here is another one of Rodney Parker’s videos transferred with the lossless setup and enhanced/cleaned up afterwards. I need to warn people that there is NUDITY in this one, Jesse decided to strip nekkid and perform. So, I am setting this one to adult only, which means you need to prove age to youtube etc… sorry. Blame Jesse, haha.

Blatz- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 12/31/90 East Bay Punk xfer from 1st gen soundboard cassette rebalance

Back to work today after a week’s vacation and I managed to pick up Covid. So, today has been a swirl of prepping for a big presentation (must go on, covid or not) and trying to catch up on a week’s worth of backlog. That’s why this is later than usual today.
Let’s do another Eggplant tape today. This Blatz tape was almost ALL bass and drums with buried vocals, but Izotope worked pretty well fixing it up. Speaking of Eggplant, I have 2 shows of his that I need to repost- Bomb (remix) and Beatnigs (complete). Maybe I will do those as bonus posts this week.

Blatz- 924 Gilman Berkeley Ca 10/13/90? xfer f/1st gen soundboard tape labeled 10/11/90 Punk Lookout

Here’s one from Robert Eggplant’s collection that seems to have a date that is off by at least a couple days. The tape showed 10/11/90, but that was a Thursday and Gilman didn’t have Thursday shows at the time. It’s probably the 13th or maybe the 21st. I did a quick scan of the tape and I didn’t hear of any mentions of other bands.

It’s a typical nice post-1990 mix from Gilman, after they got the upgraded soundboard. No rebalance required!
