Battalion of Saints- Vortex, Los Angeles Ca 3/26/11 transfer from master DV tape
I am going to make this quick because it is almost midnight. I didn’t think to check the length of the madalorian movie and we got back home LATE. Anyway, this is one of the better videos from Josh Parten’s collection. Unfortunately, audio is distorted.

Battalion of Saints- Backroom, Lawrence KS 6/23/95 xfer from 1st gen VHS tape
You get a quick two-fer today. First is the On This Date post. This is another one from Jim Utz’ collection of VHS tapes that he sent me many years ago. I had 2 copies of this- one from Jason Ross and one from Jim. Jason’s says the venue is the Backroom, Jim’s says Bottleneck. I did some digging and it does seem to be Backroom.
In my humble opinion, BoS were untouchable in the mid-80s with Chris Smith on guitar. After Chris left the band then passed away, the band has continued in different incarnations but nobody can really replace Chris. I wish there was more video with him playing. Any BoS is still great though.
