Sean Hills, Tim Williamson, Ricky Schmidt- F*ck Cancer Online benefit 11/12/20
I have been slacking off on getting these posted. This series is STILL GOING with the last episode happening tonight(Sunday) at 6:45pm. This is the one from Thursday night, with promoter/bass player/graphic artist/Renaissance man Sean Hills, solo acoustic with Tim Williamson, and Ricky Schmidt. Hosted by Danny Reynoso. Check it out, buy the shirt!
The Knockoffs, The Moans, Joshua Thompson- F*ck Cancer Online benefit 11/11/20
Danny Reynoso/Secretion has really outdone himself this time. In pre-Covid times, he would produce a week of shows- usually 4 or 5 nights of great local bands to in honor of his father, to benefit American Cancer Society. He is doing these online this year- the first happened on Wednesday night, so you will see them posted/archived here a couple of days after they are posted.
Includes a cool interview with local DJ/promoter Andy Hawk
You can order the benefit shirt online from Nov 11-30, check it out!
Bat Guano Fest 2020 w/ Yoohoos, Sad Girlz Club, Cory Wiegert, Cassette Idols, The Knockoffs, Joe McKinney, Brianna Carmel, Justin Pine, Sarchasm, Matt Crap, Well Placed Whoas, The Left Hand, Mark of Defyance, Danny Reynoso, and Tim Williamson!
There are a few “can’t miss” music events in Sacramento each year–
The Punch and Pie fest which used to happen in August, Danny Reynoso’s “Fuck Cancer” event in November, and this one. The Bat Guano fest has been curated by Ken Doose for the past 10 years, and it looked like this year would be cancelled due to Covid. Thanks to some friendly goading from friends, it was changed to an online event and it worked out really well. It also allowed past Bat Guano bands such as The Yoohoos to perform from Germany. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a virtual post-show hangout via zoom! Miss these guys (and gals).
