Owlfest is a homegrown festival that started as a group of like minded bands and their friends in the desert, and has evolved and expanded over nine years of festivities. Over twenty acts grace the Owlfest stages over a three day event with camping, vendors, and activities. Sarchasm- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 6/27/19 Live Acoustic Set
I wasn’t going to miss this show, but unfortunately family commitments got me there late… so I missed Melissa Schiller & Grumpster. I am a bit bummed about that. This was an amazing set by Sarchasm. Great cover as well- I won’t give it away. Watch.

Sad Girlz Club- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 6/27/19 Live Concert HD Video
This was the first time I have seen SGC acoustic and it was so much fun. LOVE the country-ified versions of some of the songs. What You Want is FUN. Letting that Elk Grove influence shine through. Yee Haw!

Static Diary (Scott Danbom from Centromatic)- Dan’s Silverleaf, Denton Tx. 6/23/19
There were no posts to the Sac Music Archive over the weekend because I was in Texas going to shows with only a cellphone (and 6 cameras). Friday and Saturday shows were multicams so those will get posted later.
Sunday at the Summer Hangout in Denton started out VERY mellow. I think Travis had a good idea to start things off quietly since Saturday was a party.
I got there early to see Scott Danbom. I loved Centro-Matic and wanted to see what he was up to now. He just released a solo record and played a few songs here.

The Red Death- Summer Hangout, Dan’s Silverleaf, Denton Tx. 6/23/19 Live Canon HFG40
I decided to film all of the bands on the bill last Sunday- here was the first rock band of the day- The Red Death. Looks like they are local to Denton. Guitarist on the left makes some interesting rock faces.

Here is the last single camera video from Summer Hangout. We had this great idea to just power through and not eat dinner until after the show, since the show was scheduled to end at about 10pm. Well, the show ran WAY late and we were STARVING. We tried to make it through the final set but we had to bail. Sorry Travis. Thanks to everyone for the great fest! Wait until you see the Slobberbone multicam- it is going to be excellent!
