Man, what a lineup at the Colony last Saturday for the Polyorchids’ CD release show. Justin did a nice job with sound in a challenging situation. These guys (and lady) are an under appreciated gem in sacramento. Love them. I bought their new LP for $7! WHo sells LP’s for $7?

I’m so happy that despite Justin moving away, the Polyorchids are still going strong. This was from one of their 2 CD release shows last weekend. They have a full length CD out now, and it is amazing! They played a 55 minute set with a bunch of new ones. Tony even sings one. Great stuff. Nice job by Junstin Hel on sounds- it’s a tough room to make sound good.

So, I was really bummed to see that the wild drummer with the huge hair was no longer in the band, but the new guy was great! Things got a little wild during the set- they had some technical difficulty and they knocked the power out at the end. Wild times at the Colony.

So I did something that I don’t normally do- I promoted a show and brought a band to town last week! 2 of my favorite bands/artists were super cool to open the show AND lend their equipment to the headliner (The Undead). Thanks so much guys! Danny opened the show with a truly awesome and unique set. He was so nervous to open for Bobby Steele! He put a lot of thought into the setlist. Listen to that first song and see if you recognize it…

I was so happy to be able to bring Bobby Steele and the Undead to town last month– what a great show! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen- thanks to The Strange Party for loaning equipment for the backline, thanks to the cafe for the last minute booking, thanks to Danny for opening the show, and thanks to everyone for coming out… and THANKS to the Undead for playing Sacramento for the first time ever!
Here is the edited multicam show-  I think you’ll enjoy this one.
Thanks also to Zoran for the use of his footage- it was a huge help.

I think most of us miss going out to live shows. Here’s a band a REALLY miss- they have not played for over a year now. Such a great band. This was a killer set- Justin was super excited that I brought The Undead to town and they opened the show. I was holding this for a multicam edit but the other angles didn’t work out. 2 more strange party multicams are coming up!
