Sewer Trout Experience- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca. 1/6/18 Multicamera with Matrix Audio w/ Sarchasm

I usually have a rule about NO COVER/TRIBUTE BANDS, but I’ll make an exception here. First, because the band being covered is Sewer Trout- where else are you going to hear these songs played live again? Second, because this band kicks ass. Alex Botkin shreds on bass. Third, Cole Gates (Vocal/guitar) is the perfect frontman for something like this. Just look at those faces he makes while singing. Awesome.
Sorry about losing focus on the camera I was using- this was the first time I ever used an HFG40 and it took a bit to figure out how to work it.

Captian 9s and the Knickerbocker Trio- 924 Gilman, Berkeley 1/6/18 Multicam Live

Captain 9s were the poor saps who had to open this show, and therefore be the guinea pigs for my first time operating my new Canon HFG40. I thought it would be similar to the HFG30. Nope. I totally screwed up the start of this video. It was WAY too dark to start. I finally get it right after about 10min or so.
The soundboard recording of Captain 9’s set is so hot/distorted that it was unusable. We had to go with some average quality camera audio. Sorry about that.

MDL- Demo 2018 M.D.L. Mental Defective League Ground Chuck Audio

I saw Ground Chuck giving away CD’s at the colonial cafe one night, so I asked for one. It happened to be the MDL demo. Thanks Chuck! I also asked if I could post it to the archive and he said something unintelligible back to me, but I think I heard “don’t care” in there somewhere. I worry because the MDL FB site (which has been dormant for months) said something about a new album being done.. so if the band wants it pulled down to sell somewhere, let me know.

Ground chuck: singer
Ben: drums
Mike: guitars
Jeff: bass guitar

The Bananas- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca. 1/6/18 Live Multicamera w/ Soundboard Audio Sacramento

I’ll admit it- I kinda screwed up the soundboard rebalance on this one. I swear, it sounded great at the time! I buried Mike’s vocals a bit too much and they have an odd/limited sound to them. Sorry. Great show, probably my best Bananas video.
