The O’Mulligans- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 10/8/16 Multicam

Here is the O’Mulligans’ set from Blue Lamp, opening for the Mr T Experience last year. They are one of the best pop punk bands in town- check them out if you have not done so already. They just released a CD called “meh” and are up for a sammie award. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30 and a Canon HFG10. Audio from the rode video pro stereo mic.

Mr. T Experience- DNA Lounge, San Francisco Ca. 10/7/16 Multicam MTX

This was MTX’ record release show for “King Dork Approximately”, their first album in over 10 years! I walked into the DNA, expecting a large venue with balcony, kind of like the ones I saw on Zoran’s metal videos. Well, I guess you can partition off a *tiny* room upstairs that holds about 100 people… and that is where MTX Played. I had no place to put cameras. I used my G30/Rode monopod, then sloppily tossed a gopro on the soundboard ledge. It did not turn out too bad, and this was the best MTX show I have seen (out of 5) since they have been back.

Destroy Boys- DNA Lounge, San Francisco Ca. 10/7/16 Pt. 1 Canon HFG30 & Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Destroy Boys are a new-ish band from Sacramento with some strong family ties to the scene. Vi (guitar) is the daughter of Sonny(Daycare/Phallucy) & Lynn(THE almighty Skirts). THey already have a full-length CD out that was released about 3 weeks ago, and they also have an earlier EP. They opened for MTX & Captain 9’s last night. They are not opening the show tonight, but everyone should come out and see the MTX & Captain 9’s show at Blue Lamp. It should be great.

Lydia Loveless- Ace of Spades, Sacramento 10/5/16 Multicam with Schoeps Audio

Man, did this one turn out nice. The only small issue is that I accidentally cropped Todd May out of the full stage angle, but I got enough of him in the roving shot to make up for it. Filmed with 2 HFG30, 1 HFG10 and a gopro. Thanks to Jason Ellis for the audio, Brian McKenna for securing permission to film, Ben Lamb for giving permission, and Dillon Fries for the edit. It turned out great!

Drive By Truckers- Ace of Spades, Sacramento Ca 10/5/16 Part 1 Multicam with Schoeps Audio

I had been a casual fan of DBT for over 15 years, but the new American Band album blew me away. I was so happy that I was able to get permission to film them when they came through last October. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30, 1 Canon HFG10 and a gopro. Audio courtesy of Jason Ellis. Thanks to Brian McKenna and Jenn Bryan for the help in securing permission to film, and special thanks to Dillon Fries for the edit.

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks- The Chapel, San Francisco, CA 10/1/16 4 cam multicam Pavement!

I think I told this story in the other posts- Scott Kannberg (Spiral Stairs) was celebrating his 50th. I was given permission to film, but was only given a tiny space to do so(just enough for my tripod)… so I made the most of it and filmed with 3 cameras from the same spot! It resulted in an odd multicam- I did my best to make the shots seem unique.
The person who edited this one, Richard Pearsall, found Dan Poppe’s footage (shot right at the stage) and edited it with my other 3 cameras. Thank you! Much better

Recorded by: Shayne Stacy, Dan Poppe

Equipment Used: Canon HFG30 x2, Canon HFG10, and Dan’s camera.

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks- The Chapel, San Francisco Ca. 10/1/16 Pavement Complete Multicam

his one has a somewhat funny story. I got the ok to film from Scott(Spiral) but only from 1 angle. Since the show was packed, the club stuck me in this corner by the soundboard. I had 3 cameras, so why not use them? This is the first(and probably only) multicam that I will do, which all 3 angles are filmed fromt he exact same spot. Kinda cheesy, but I tried to make each angle unique.
HUGE thanks to Richard Pearsall for stepping in and doing the full edit of the show!
Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30s(one on tripod, one monopod operated by me) and 1 Canon HFG10(mounted to the pole). Audio via Rode video pro stereo mic. Encore has a bunch of pavement songs.

I don’t have the time, skill or patience to do it either. If someone wants to finish up editing the rest of this show, please message me. Thanks.
