Well, that was something. Norweigan black metal legends Taake played a small club in Sacramento last night. It was PACKED- the most packed I had ever seen The Starlite. The band was incredible and the sound on the video turned out great.

I wanted to wait until we had better audio for this one, but I will post it again once we are able to mix the soundboard with this mic. Little Tents are playing their second to last show EVER tonight at Starlite. You need to go. Here is their appearance at concerts in the park this year. Sorry the audio is not as good as others- in short, I blew it. They were great as always. One of the best bands in sac right now. Unfortunately, they did not turn on the lower mains so you get very little vocals on the video. Check their EP posted in comments for good quality audio of them
Here is The O’Mulligan’s set from last week. Great show and it sounds and looks great. Little tents coming in a bit- we need to put the soundboard and my mic audio together.
It’s an all-Sacramento day here! For today’s On This Date in history, I decided to finally give this Little Tents video from 2016 the proper treatment.
Man, I loved this band. Such a great indie/emo band. They were only around for a year or so- first show on the archive is 11/4/15, last on is 1/29/17. So 15ish months.
The board tape on this was odd- it was very heavy on drums and light on guitar. I went ahead and boosted the guitar and let the vocals be slightly buried. When I tried to bump up vocals, it sounded lousy in Izotope. This is as good as it’s gonna get.

The last half of the set, Rock em Sock Em, On The Rag, In and Out of You, S.F.C.C., 4F Club, White Trash Woman. The sound was awesome! this is one of the best sounding one cams ive done in a small club.. and ive shot hundreds. Sickie Wifebeater on lead guitar, along with Dr. Heathen Scum on bass and vocals and cohorts Cousin Fister on guitar, and Viejo Malo on Drums.. sounding just outstanding in this recent live performance from Sacramento.. Sickie Wifebeater also shines on the very last tune where he tickles our eardrums with his sleazy vocal skills!!
Here is Banger’s set from the Blue Lamp show last week. Bill Heston was the main man in 1980s Sacramento punk band Identity Crysis, who were on Mystic Records for a while. This is Bill’s new band, with him handling the guitar and lead vocal duties. They were LOUD so I hope the audio is alright.
