Stalag 13- Borderline, Thousand Oaks Ca. 10/10/14 Multicam from HD Masters Skate Punk Vulture Video

For today’s On This Date in History, I pulled yet another multicam from Vulture Video. For those keeping score at home, Ryan and I met in 2014 and got to be friends. He sent some angles for my friend punksnotdeadgr to edit, and then he never posted them. The raw angles are on his youtube, but the multicam is not. What’s up with that, Ryan??

Anyway, not many multicam videos of Stalag 13 are out there. Enjoy

On a more somber note.. about 4 years after this show took place, a mass shooting took 11 lives at this venue. It never reopened and was demolished in 2021.

Recorded by: Ryan McVay, Ryan McNamara(I think) and possibly a 3rd camera.
Equipment used: I think he had his Canon HFG20 by this time

Dr. Know- Midtown Barfly, Sacramento Ca. 10/5/14 4 Camera Multicam Part 1!

Another great show by Dr. Know. The crowd went nuts at this one. I was talking to a friend from out of town afterward, and he shook his head and said “Sacramento really loves Dr. Know”. Who Knew? This one is a 4 camera edit with soundboard audio. Thanks to agelos and Bong for the editing work. Cam 1: HFG30 on stage Cam 2: HFG10 on tripod stage right Cam 3: HF200 in back of club on tripod Cam 4: Jesse Davis’ angle (Thanks Jesse!). You really need to see Dr. Know when they play. They are seriously better than the ’80s version!

This is part 1 only- you can find the rest of the show on Youtube

Dr. Know- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca. 10/4/14 Part 1 3 camera Multicam Punk!

When you film with 3 cameras and pull a soundboard mix, it is really hard to get everything to go right. Unattended cameras aree overexposed, some drunk guy bumps a tripod and throws a camera off center, etc. It is really rare when EVERYTHING goes right. This is the ONLY time so far that everything has gone right for me. Thanks to Tyler the Gilman soundman for an amazing mix. Handheld: Canon HFG30 with Rode Video Pro Mic Behind merch area: Canon HFG10 Stage left: Canon HF200 Great performance as well. Kyle Toucher Dr. Know Ken Leege Loren Scott may want to check this out. Thanks to agenlos and bong for the 3 camera mix- you would not be watching this without them. PS: Why does youtube tag Gilman as a “drinking establishment” when no alcohol is permitted?
