Luna- Coach House, San Juan Capistrano Ca 11/4/92 Hi8 Master Live Video xfer Enhanced

I am going to try to post a 4k video from last night’s show, but it shows “processing HD version” 8 hours into the upload, so it may be late. Here is an early “bonus post” of a Luna show I taped back in 1992. This is the 3rd and last version I am posting. This is the complete show with the stock camera audio, enhanced to remove the graininess. Enjoy!

Samiam- McGregor’s, Elmhurst Il 11/4/92 Live xfer from 2nd gen VHS East Bay Punk Turn it Around

I took the weekend off from posting. I had posted something every day for what felt like an eternity. I figured no one would be paying attention since everyone was watching election results, speeches and the like.
Here is the last one (for now) from the VHS tapes that I digitized for the Turn it Around documentary. This is another one that Bob & Mike Byrne shot.. and some good news – it looks like we will be able to transfer the masters and clean up these (and many others) soon! Regardless of where they are posted on youtube, I will link them to the Sacramentomusicarchive website, so be sure to follow the site for updates.

Good news and Bad news today over here at the archive. The bad news is that after extensive work on the video capture PC, it still won’t provide a clean capture. The good news is that I decided to go with the “screw it, let’s start over” option and build a new PC with a Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K Capture/Playback Card. Might as well go for the best, right? Don’t feel bad for the old windows XP PC. It will live out its days as the audio only capture PC. Nice and easy.

Until the Blackmagic card shows up, you get a hodgepodge of stuff that has already been transferred.

This is from that tape that Craig Hilmer recorded off TV and then sent to me. I did Metallica, Luna/Babes in Toyland, and now this one from that tape. One more to go! Thanks Craig!
