John Conley and Brian McCullough- Rehearsal/ 4 Track Demo Deasrio Erie Loch Wiccid 1989? Tape xfer

I love finding stuff like this on the end of old tapes. This was on the tape after the Little Guilt Shrine show I posted yesterday. It is labeled as “The John and Brian Thing” and it sounds like that is Brian on keys and John on guitar and vocals. Great stuff! Who woulda thunk that these 2 would make a killer collaboration. I mean, look at them- it doesn’t look like they run in the same circles. Not that there anything wrong with that.
John has been in many Sacramento bands over the last 30 years- CCR, The Boon, Ellie, Hliday Flyer, Desario, and I am sure I am missing some. Brian has built up a good fanbase with his Wiccid band.
From Anonymous’ collection, who knows from where. John didn’t remember this existing.

Murry Hammond- Watering Wheel Demo 1989 xfer from 2nd gen audio cassette Old 97’s

OK, here is the one I was hoping to ask Murry about but I lost his contact info. Murry, if you want to reach out, please shoot me a message. I personally love this demo- it was during the Sleepy Heroes/Peyote Cowboys era of the late 80s when Murry & Rhett were going through a psych phase. Let me reiterate- this is really great. Unfortunately, I don’t have any song titles.
I think I got this from a guy named Riley, who is an old friend of Murry’s.

Tesco Vee and The Meatmen- Meat Vol. 1 VHS tape 4 hrs of live videos straight from Tesco Vee Way USA

Here’s something for you all. Tesco Vee sent this VHS tape to a friend many years ago- it is 4 hours of what he called “the best quality available” of Meatmen and Tesco appearances. Some of these clips have surfaced in better quality (like the Wilson Center 1982 show), but I have never seen a lot of this stuff. Most of it is unlabeled but it includes live shows, multicam shows, TV appearances, the Way USA TV show, and more.

Epidemic- Demo 1989 xfer from master cassette tape Bay Area Thrash Metal Palo Alto

Here’s another cool metal demo from Eddie’s collection. I checked youtube and strangely enough, there is a different Epidemic demo from 1988 with the same or similar cover. This one has a different track listing, so I am running with it.

Identity Crysis, Last Warning, Outrage, Roadkill- Underground Sounds Roseville Cable 1988-89

MASSIVE thanks to Mark Murray for digging this one up. A CLASSIC episode from Roseville cable with so much good stuff. First, we have an unknown band playing a garage. Then we have Identity Crysis live in studio. Up nest is an interview/profile of Last Warning (formerly Malfator) and show concludes with Outrage.
Check Mark Murray’s amazing commercial at the 10:00 mark. So awesome.

You gotta hand it to Roseville Cable- it seems like you could air anything you wanted back then.
