INXS- Market Square Arena, Indianapolis In 3/14/88 transfer from 8mm master tape

Oh crap, I am late with this and I still have another Patreon choice later on.
It looks like Tony Philputt already has this posted, but this one is better quality. At least I think that “The Wrecking Yard” channel is his. Mixed in with a bunch of cassettes from Tony’s collection is this/PIL and Sting 8mm master videos. The one posted seems to be a 1st gen VHS from this master tape. Since I would rather get stabbed in the eye than listen to Sting, this one is first.

For some reason, this had no audio when I transferred it. Tony/The Wrecking Yard’s did, so I pulled the audio off that youtube post and attempted to synch them up. If there is anything less fun than trying to synch an arena video, I haven’t found it yet. JFC. I hope I got it right.

7 Seconds- Danceteria, Sacramento Ca. 3/11/88 Audio only xfer from master tape Remixed Live

Here is another Clear & Distinct show from Danceteria. I don’t remember why I wasn’t at this show, but thankfully Anonymous was there with his Aiwa consumer handheld recorder to capture the show. The funny thing about that recorder is that most recordings sound like hot garbage with the stock microphone, but if you get REAL close to the PA, it actually sounds good! This is one of those times. It was tinny and midrangey, so I EQ’d it to drop the mids and boost the bass, then put it into Izotope RX to boost the bass some more. NINETY minute set! Holy cow!

Yo La Tengo- Mississippi Nights, St. Louis Mo 3/4/88 Proshot xfer from VHS Master Tape

So I had posted this one a long time ago and it was pulled down by matador. I am totally perplexed about it, since other yo la tengo content is allowed to survive on youtube. Does anyone know if this was ever part of an official release?

Anyway, here it is again. I don’t think it will be found by the evil overlords. Enjoy.
