Lawsuit- Whole Earth Festival, Davis Ca. 5/7/94 Audio xfer from 2nd generation soundboard tape

This one is also for Sac Music Archive contributor Keely Sadira Dorran- she has been laid up for a bit. I hope these help you recuperate!

It appears that Lawsuit headlined over Cake at WEF back in 1994. This is a transfer from the 2nd gen from master cassette tape- still sounds pretty decent. The mix is not perfect, but you’re going to get that when you have a ton of instruments on stage

Corrupted Morals- Whole Earth Fest, Davis Community Park 6/3/89 xfer from 8mm master LIVE

I think that I had to work during at least part of this set. I vaguely recall begging Mike Yoas to help me film this with my equipment. I’m not sure if he did the entire show, or if I am the one who came and got close to the stage. Really nice quality- I wish all punk shows could be outside in the daytime.

Raskul- Whole Earth Fest, Davis Central Park 4/30/88 xfer master audio cassette Thing that ate Floyd

This is another ancient master tape, recorded by me with my stepdad’s Montgomery Ward boom box (R.I.P. Tyler). That thing made the best quality tapes- by far the best ones until I bought the D6 in October of 1989.

Man, there is not much on this band at all online. Discogs has 1 demo with no mention of band names. They were on the legendary Floyd comp with a bunch of great East Bay punk bands.

The quality is kinda terrible to start as I was trying to find a place for the boom box and they were still getting the sound dialed in. This was 80’s vocal PA and nothing else sound technology.
