The Silos- Lynagh’s, Lexington Ky 7/26/97 xfer from Hi8 Master Complete show Walter Salas Humara

Late post today, but it’s a good one. This comes from Neil Werries’ collection and I think it is the last of the “big” bands that he shot, and was one angle of a 2-camera shot. Just as a reminder, this one and a bunch of others need help with time alignment before we can edit them- basically, each angle needs to be synched with the other so we can edit them together. Of you have this expertise and want to help out, please let me know.
Here’s a quick list of shows that need some help in order to edit:
old 97s barleypalooza 6/1/97
Gourds barleypalooza 6/1/97 (one angle is already up on the channel)
Old 97s- fitzgeralds 7/4/97 (2 angles)
Silos- lexington ky 7/26/97
Silos- Louisville Ky 7/25/97

The Silos- Louisville, Ky 7/25/97 xfer from Hi8 Master Complete show Alt.country americana

Today’s video comes from Neil Werries’ collection of master tapes. This is yet another one of Neil’s multicamera videos that need time alignment. I am no good at it, so if you are able to help with this, please comment or reach out through the website contact form (sacramento music archive dot com). We could do multicam edits of The Gourds, Old 97s, Silos and there might be more.
If you have not heard of The Silos, you are in for a treat. They released 15 albums/dvd/etc between 1985 and 2011. They are embarking on a world tour to celebrate 40 years as a band this year. Neil and his friend filmed this show at a free outdoor fest- I had no idea that Louisville was so cool. Tons of people there.
Anyway, there is a 2nd angle to this to edit together if we can get some help.

M.D.C.- Jockey Club, Newport Ky 7/20/86 xfer f/1st gen VHS tape MDC Millions of Dead Cops

Oh man, I got consumed mixing another multitrack. This one is late!

It’s time for the Patreon Voter’s Choice for the week! Unfortunately, I inadvertantly lied about this video. I thought that all Jockey Club videos had soundboard audio, so I put this one on the poll as soundboard… nope. Sorry. To make it up, I will post one of the 2 2nd place vote winners tomorrow. More posts!

Anyway, this one is from Jason Ross’ collection and it is pretty nice. I transferred it years ago and It’s a little dark and could probably benefit from a lossless transfer and enhancement and an audio level fix, but this is good enough for now. Turn it up! Man, I can’t believe how clueless I was when I started this project, 10+. years ago “Oh, you can boost audio? I should have been doing that for years.” lol.

Raw Power- Jockey Club, Newport Ky 11/16/85 xfer from VHS Enhanced different lineup

Here’s one that I see was posted by my friend Mike Pritchard about a year ago, but this version appears to be slightly better quality… but it is incomplete. This was at the end of Wayne Vanderkuil’s MDC/Hallows Eve VHS and I figured I would post this anyway.
This was a unique tour for the band. Some of the band needed to come home early, so the lineup here is Fausto Donato second Guitar, Chris Bianco Vocals & Bass, Fabiano Bianco ( Master) on drums, DAVIDE DEVOTI lead guitar

Raw Power- Jockey Club, Newport Ky 11/16/85 xfer f/1st gen VHS tape soundboard audio hardcore

I was planning to post a Mudhoney audio from KCSB, only to find out that it was officially released (except 1 song) on the Superfuzz Bigmuff expanded reissue. D’oh! So I started poking around the tape lists and found this. I had actually posted an incomplete version of this one off of Wayne Vanderkuil’s unknown (but low) gen VHS tape, not realizing I had already digitized it from Jason Ross’ 1st gen tape. Derp. This is the last time I will post this one, promise.
