It was a full house for The Dwarves show at the Blue Lamp. I had the hardest time getting in contact with the band- thanks to Chris Lemos for getting me into the back band room to get permission at the last minute!
Over to Arica Pelino’s tape collection today for this one. Blag joins Jesse Luscious(Townley) for a guest DJ spot. I listened to about 5 minutes and heard 1 F-bomb dropped. Jesse sounds nervous about what Blag might say next.

(Warning- tech nerd alert) For today’s On This Date in History, I went to Jason Ross’ collection once again. I am in the middle of transferring my data from a RAID that went bad (but data was still there) to a new larger RAID. Data has been transferring for almost a day now and it says that it has 6 more hours to go before one of the 2 external drives holding the data is done. Jeez, this is stressing me out. But anyway, long story shorter but still long, the collections post is gonna be late today because of this. Man, I hope this works. There is literally thousands of hours of work and tons of master videos involved. RAIDs are not supposed to fail like that. What an ordeal. Anyway, I transferred this from Jason Ross’ collection a while back. The Dwarves themselves posted this to YT a while back, but this is better quality. I was able to work this on the tiny bit of space on my C drive

Happy Monday everyone. This one comes from Eggplant’s collection and the date is kind of a mystery. The tape says 4/30/9 and the rest is not legible. I checked Brian Edge’s 924 Gilman book and there were 2 shows on 4/30 in the 90s, and neither one of them had The Dwarves on the bill. Oh well. I tried. The mix on this one is pretty rough to start, but I rebalanced it to sound decent at about 1 minute in, since that’s where the mix sits most of the time. It’s always a good time trying to figure out how to use youtube’s decency filters/ratings. Hmm.. there is no setting for someone yelling “why don’t you sit on my face” 2 seconds into the recording… moderately shocking and offensive? Sure, let’s try that.
