Today’s post is what I think is an incomplete recording of Drivin’ n Cryin’ from Atlanta. I think the taper (Chuck Erb) recorded the full set, but only sent me this 25min partial clip of the show.

When I first got my DAT decks in 1991/1992, there were maybe 5 people I knew to trade DATs with- a guy in Bend, Or (Dick Bell) with all kinds of cool 60s stuff, a Neil Young DAT trader, the JEMS guys, and Chuck Erb. Chuck taped this one- he was based in Atlanta and he would get inside info about secret R.E.M. happenings. He taped the R.E.M. 40 Watt show from 1992 as well. Kevn Kinney from Drivin and Cryin and Peter Buck from R.E.M. made an album together (Macdougal Blues) and toured the US for it in 1990. Here is a one-off local show with all kinds of guests.
