MDC- Dave Acoustic, 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 12/31/87 xfer master/1st gen audiotape M.D.C.

Memory is a funny thing. I was at this 12/31/87 show- it was the first time I saw Op Ivy and I vowed to save for a video camera to film them. I do not remember Dave from M.D.C. playing the show. I don’t think I have seen any of this set show up on video either- the Stikky/Isocracy and Op Ivy sets were filmed by Steve VonTill. I think he might have been a surprise guest. Maybe he opened before we got there. This was on the same tape as the Op Ivy set I posted from Chris’ collection last month. It’s all a big mystery in my head- maybe Chris or Wayne or someone will help me out here.

Recorded by: Chris Eng? Maybe Anonymous 1. Kinda sounds like one of his aiwa tapes

Dave Dictor- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 12/31/87 transfer from 1st gen VHS tape Soundboard Audio MDC

Either me or Anonymous traded for this tape from one of the Gilman tapers right after the show happened and we got Stikky, Isocracy and Operation Ivy. I had no idea the Dave Dictor set was even recorded. In fact, I was there and I don’t remember this set at all. Maybe we went to get pizza. Dunno. Since this is just Dave and a guitar, it’s definitely the best mix of the night!
