Nik Turner’s Hawkwind- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 10/15/17 LIVE Canon HFG30 Rode VPS Mic

Nothing was going to stop me from seeing this show. I was sick, plus the family went to SF for the day. I was in the car for 8 hours driving between traffic and tooling around SF. We got home at 8:30pm, I helped get the kids to bed, then off to the show. HUGE THANKS to Chris Lemos & Gabi for hosting this show.. and for the late start time. I never thought I’d be able to see these songs performed live. It is a little dark (intentionally), but still enjoyable. I love the encore of Master of the Universe & Silver Machine. Nice! Thanks to Nik’s crew for the OK to film.

Comeback Kid- Cornerstone, Berkeley Ca. 10/8/17 Multicam w/ Rode Video Pro Stereo Audio

Man, the traffic between Sacramento and the Bay Area keeps getting worse. It took about 3 hours to get to the show, so I arrived too late to try for a soundboard patch. That’s a bummer, because the board tapes sound amazing. I did learn a few things from the first time I filmed here- tripods in the balcony DO NOT work- there is way too much vibration up there. These angles are pole mounted and much better. I also repositioned the gopro to show half band, half crowd. MUCH better. The food is decent at cornerstone and the beer selection is excellent- the best of any venue I have ever seen. Parking sucks, but it is worth a visit. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30’s (1 pole mount, 1 monopod operated by me), 1 HFG10(pole mount) and 1 gopro side stage. Enjoy!

Burn- Cornerstone, Berkeley Ca. 10/8/17 Hardcore Multicam with Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here’s Burn’s set from the same night as CBK. They seemed to be having some pretty serious sound issues, but they pulled it together alright. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30’s (1 pole mount, 1 monopod operated by me), 1 HFG10(pole mount) and 1 gopro side stage. Enjoy!
