Tom Hutchison- Shine, Sacramento Ca 1/3/14 Digital Master Rec Knockoffs Captain 9s Knickerbocker Tri

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to see Tom do a rare acoustic set, opening for Kepi Ghoulie and Kevin Seconds. Features a nice mix of Knockoffs and Captain 9s songs. Unfortunately, I had hoped to plug into the mixing board so I did not bring my mics, so I had to use the PCM-M10’s internal mics. It’s not bad quality.

Kevin and Allyson Seconds- Shine, Sacramento Ca 1/3/14 Live Audio Master Sony PCM-M10 Internal Mics

The Kepi set I just posted was supposed to be posted yesterday- here is the one for today. We were very fortunate in Sacramento- Kevin and Allyson would play all the time. You could catch a set at least once a month, it was great. With the pandemic, Kevin and Allyson have not played a show in about 2 years. They are playing TOMORROW NIGHT 11/27/21, opening for David Houston at Luna’s. Try to make it out! I have a conflict, but I hope to bail from my thing early and make the show.

Kepi Ghoulie- Shine, Sacramento Ca 1/3/14 Master Audio recording Sony PCM-M10 stock mics

Hey there! I haven’t posted in 2 and a half days. That’s the longest gap in months.. maybe even a year. I took the family to Las Vegas and I spent 11 and 1/2 hours driving to and from Death Valley on Thanksgiving. I am home and super tired.
Anyway, I recorded these 2 sets almost 8 years ago. It was date night so I didn’t nerd up and use the good mics. This is just the stock mics on the PCM-M10.
Kepi does at least 1 song I have never heard him do before- 1333. It doesn’t sound too bad for me just half assing the taping thing that night.

It’s a late audio post today, from Alfie Kulzick’s collection. This one is a compilation that was put together in 2014, 24 years after the club closed. It looks like 7 of these tracks were previously released, but some of them do not sound like the album versions to my ears.

Huge thanks to Alfie for this one- this was the only thing that I had to listen to in the car after I had my phone stolen at a Blood for Blood show in Berkeley back in April. I was stressing and this was like a life preserver.
