Lucinda Williams- KGSR Live in Studio, Austin Tx 12/3/91 xfer f/low gen audio cassette

This one is from Tony Philputt’s tape collection, donated to the archive by Phil Go. This is an amazing performance. If current events are stressing you out, give this a listen.
I think this is a 1st gen cassette. The tape has 3 KGSR live in studio sessions and there is pretty much no tape hiss. Quite a range os music in Tony’s collection- from Half Life and the Gynecologists to this. lol.

Audio Live Performance

fIREHOSE- Ancienne de Belgique, Brussels Belgium 3/12/91 xfer from master soundboard cassette

We have a couple of good ones for you today. First on is today’s “On This Day in History”. I got this in a CDR trade 25+ years ago, and the writing on the CDR does not look familiar. Lineage is Cassette soundboard-minidisc-CDR. How’s that for a totally 90s lineage?
This thing sounds fantastic. The venue is huge, I wonder what the bill looked like. Was firehose that big in belgium, where they could fill a 2,000 seat venue? Wow, good for them.

Audio Live Concert

Buzzcocks- One Edge Up, Sacramento Ca. 12/3/91 Audio Xfer from DAT Master

I don’t think I can add much to the sentiment regarding Pete Shelley and the impact of The Buzzcocks. I was a bit of a late comer to the band, getting into them in the late 80s, but they were probably my favorite 70s punk band. This was the first time I saw them, and my DAT battery died about halfway through the show.
I will be posting the I-Beam show from 1989 and the Ace of Spades show tomorrow, hopefully.
