Harm Farm- Cattle Club, Sacramento Ca 3/9/91 xfer f/8mm Master tape Donner Party Cat Heads

We are finally caught up on our Patreon Voter’s choice posts! Until tomorrow that is. This vote was amusing- we were voting on bands that start with “H”. We had Helios Creed, Hawkwind, and 3 others… and who wins with a unanimous vote? Harm Farm. I had no idea that there were so many Harm Farm fans out there. I mean, I loved the band enough to film them a few times. I even traveled to Chico once.

I might have overdone it with the “brighten the video at the source” method in virtualdub, but hot damn am I excited to be able to actually SEE these Cattle Club videos. Before, it was a game of find the musician under the grain and darkness.

Uncle Tupelo- KDHX “High Anxiety” Radio Show St. Louis 3/9/91 Master Audio cassette-DAT Int Acoustic

Alright, Day 1 of ALL collections, all the time! This one comes from my collection with a bit of a backstory. I have told the story of my friend Jim Utz going to the Tony Margherita Management office and borrowing about 50 Uncle Tupelo archive tapes(it is on a coffee creek post if you want to read the story). Tony & Bob from TMM had this KDHX session in the band archive but it was incomplete- 1 version edited for acoustic songs only, 1 cut off at 50 minutes.
Then we were graciously loaned Doug Morris’ archive of cassettes and we digitized as many as possible before returning them. I think this is where this version came from. Digitized by Michael Pemberton or Steve Brothers. It’s nice to enjoy a complete version of this one.

Mr. Bungle- Phoenix Theater, Petaluma Ca. 3/1/91 xfer from band VHS tape Mike Patton

Here’s an exciting one- an uncirculated Mr. Bungle video from that same 3/1/91 show as my other posts! This is before the release of the 1st album, so you get a mix of album tracks and stuff from their demos. I prefer the demos, but I’m sure most of you will like it all.

Deli Creeps- Phoenix Theater, Petaluma Ca. 3/1/91 Xfer from Band VHS Tape Buckethead

Huge thanks to Eddie Jorgensen for trusting me with his video tapes. Here is 8 minutes of Deli Creeps’ set from an amazing bill featuring Chomphard, Mr. Bungle and Disciples of Ed. This is a transfer from a 30 year old tape that was dubbed in EP/SLP mode, which sat in a garage for years. Please excuse the slight flaws.
This video is wild- buckethead gets stuck on top of his full stack of amps and tries to climb down, and FALLS BACKWARD onto part of the drums… without missing a thing. It happens at about 1:57 in. The band doesn’t miss a beat. Unreal.
PS: Why is everyone wearing aprons?
