Verbal Assault- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento 10/7/22 4K UHD Multicam with Multitrack Audio

I had seen that Verbal Assault had been playing recent shows back east and I really wanted to see them again, but I could not justify another cross-country trip for a concert. When Scott Torguson announced that he was bringing them to town, I wasn’t gonna miss it. Having it at the Cafe was a bonus- best place in town.
I had not seen Verbal Assault since they played at the Club Can’t Tell in 1986. In fact, I don’t think they had played Sac since then. I showed up to the Cafe early and put up a bracket against the back wall so I could mount an anchor camera as a 5th angle. It came out pretty nice. Sounds great- thanks Matt and Anonymous for the audio!

Verbal Assault- Club Can’t Tell, Sacramento Ca 10/25/86 xfer from master cassette

Verbal Assault is coming to Sacramento for the first time since 1986! I saw that they had reunited a while back, but I didn’t think they would ever make it back here. Huge props to Scott Torguson (and Chris Lemos of course) for making it happen.
Here is a mediocre recording of their last time playing here, opening for 7 Seconds on a stacked bill. Stew could book those awesome lineups.
PS: There are 2 versions of this flyer. I have an actual poster of the other version, autographed by 7 Seconds… but I can’t find my 11×17 poster folio right now. D’oh!

Audio Live Concert

Verbal Assault- KDVS Studio A, Davis Ca October 1986 xfer from cassette

Let me remind you that Verbal Assault is playing the TINY Cafe Colonial tonight! They are playing alongside a stacked bill of bands, including Gel.
The tape itself is a bit of a mystery. I clearly got this in trade with someone outside of the Sacramento area, which is odd. Almost all of my KDVS tapes came from Ken Doose, Mike Siou, or the bands themselves. As a result, the tape sounds a bit fast due to multiple high-speed dubs I would guess. I am terrible at fixing pitch so I kept it as is. Enjoy, and come on out tonight. Ticket link in FB comments.
