Bruce Springsteen- Sports Arena, Los Angeles Ca 9/24/92 xfer from 8mm master tape

Alright, I had to pivot a bit and post something other than what I had planned today. If you are a youtube subscriber and you received a Zeros video notification, please ignore. Need to get the band’s OK to post I think.
Instead, here is the last video I have from Barry Goldstein’s collection. 3 hours of Broooce. Holding a video camera relatively still for 3 hours while avoiding arena security is quite the feat.
If anyone has the exact date, please let me know. It was labeled “bruce forum night 1” only. Assuming early 90s since that was when Barry was active and taping.

The Entertainer- Green Bay Wi Cable shows VHS xfer Rev Norb Boris the Sprinkler Blow Pops Exploited

I pulled this one out to find a specific thing to post, and I realized that the entire 2 hours was pure gold, so I posted it all.
This comes from (I think) Grux from Caroliner Rainbow’s collection of VHS tapes. This is a totally INSANE early 1990s community cable show and I highly recommend you watch some of it. Most of it is just insane ramblings from Rev Norb (from Boris rthe Sprinkler), who seems to run the show along with 1 or 2 other guys.
The part I was trying to find is at 1 hour 39 min- rev norb interviews Wattie from the Exploited and the entire segment (including subtitles) are a perfect encapsulation of how I feel about the band. Thanks guys- this is awesome! Around that same time stamp are The Blow Pops live footage n(1 hour 35) and The Happy Schnapps Combo (1 hour 40 something)… but seriously, the4 entire thing is worth watching. Hilarious bored Wisconsin kids.

Buck Naked and the Bare Bottom Boys- Enema Party b/w Baby Talk 7″ Single Scam Records

I never post vinyl rips on the archive, but this one deserved it. This 7″ came from that same Estate Sale of Laurie Vilarich’s amazing collection of photos/autographed items from musicians, as mentioned before.
This was in a box of Buck Naked memorabilia. I was in kind of a hurry and I saw that the box had a bunch of photos and a stage worn bandanna, so I grabbed it in a hurry. It wasn’t until I got home and went through it all that I discovered that this 7″ was in there.
There was a note that stated “was to be used as promo w/ upcoming album”.. so this must have been sent to Laurie after Buck was murdered.
Oh, and of course, a critical part of my vinyl rip setup (Sony pro cd recorder) takes a dump while trying to do this. So I used a less optimal method. Hope it still sounds good enough.
Additional photos of the 7″ in facebook(and sacramentomusicarchive.com) comments

Slayer- Gold Record Presentation, Magic Castle Hotel, 1/17/95 xfer from Hi8 Master Reign in Blood?

Here’s another cool video from Steve Rogers of an industry event. I think this is for Reign in Blood, since it took that album about 6 years to go gold, and Tom’s references in his speech.
The first 3min of this are shots of the hotel and attendees, and then the ceremony starts.

When People Were Shorter And Lived Near The Water- Rob Tyner Tribute Concert Early 90s Master VHS

Man, am I kicking myself over this one. There were more vague Russ Gibb videotapes over on Ebay- this time, there were 3 tapes up for auction with the title “Tyner Tape 1” tape 2, etc. I got Tape 1 and the next few days of posts will be from this tape. It is a nice quality multicamera of a show in an unknown venue in Detroit. What kills me is that the MC says that Teenage Fanclub is at the show- I wonder if they are on tape 2 or tape 3? If these are the openers, what big acts also played? Damnit.

Babes in Toyland- KDOC Request Video, Anaheim Ca 1992? xfer from master vhs tape

It’s after midnight in this time zone, so I am cheating a bit and posting Saturday’s Video now. This is another one from Todd Nakamine’s collection of VHS tapes. It looks like he might have only caught half of the show because I see other, lesser quality versions of this on yt but they are 11 minutes long vs. The 5 minutes we have here.
Nice quality.

Old School- 3 Song Rehearsal Demo Early 1990s xfer from 1st gen cassette

Here’s another one from Brian’s box o’ tapes:
Old School were a roseville based band. I have no info about this demo other than what you see here, and there is no info about the band on the internet. I do have one other video and the members I can identify are:
Ken Leege- guitar
Bill Heston- Guitar
Stan Hannahs- Vocal
Dan Yoas- Drums
I think Guy Jones might have been in the band too. It is hard to tell- the footage is dark & grainy and they don’t hold the camera still.

Flood- Backstage Cable Show, Sacramento Community Access 1992 xfer from Low Gen VHS Tape Sarn Oliver

I was going through the rest of John Taylor’s stuff, and after the Caboose video there was random stuff, then this. A cable show called “Backstage”, hosted by Lori Sacco. This one has a violin demo by Sarn Oliver (now with the SF Symphony) and a live session by a band named Flood. Flood consisted of Jake Akerson, Rick Hudson, Jerry Dragoo, and Todd Klinger. This looks like a master tape, but this 1992 episode was after the 1994 Caboose show. Hmm.
For all of you who are tired of getting pummeled with local Sacramento stuff, I will be uploading some well-known acts this week. Some of the stuff is REALLY cool.

Whorelords- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 1992 Tales of Terror Sex 66

So the philosophy of the sac music archive is to include ALL videos from Sacramento based shows/musicians/filmers/tapers etc… we don’t discriminate, even when the content is questionable. The videos I post may not reflect my personal views, or my musical tastes.
Now that we got that out of the way, here are the Whorelords. The whorelords were an all-star band consisting of Rat’s ass on vocals; Mike Farrell on drums, and Dave Zimini (from Apriori).

Pure debauchery.
