for today’s On This Day in History, I settled on this one. I got to see (and videotape) Buffalo Tom for the first time 4 days later in San Francisco and they were amazing. Just a wall of sound at the Kennel Club. I have had this tape for 20+ years and the mix was a bit unbalanced- predominantly drums and vocals. I decided to give it a shot in Izotope and I am pretty happy with the results. The guitar is back to the forefront, where it belongs with this band. It takes a few minutes for the mix to settle down, so give it a bit.
Look at that list of shows for 2/9/91 in the L.A. region: Rik Emmett at the Coach House, RUDY RAY MOORE at CLub Lingerie, and the Ventures at the Palomino Club. How could someone even decide what to attend? Crazy.
