In the before times, Sean Hills would hold a Halloween covers show at the Press Club and Vinnie Guidera (and the Dead Birds) would play a set of Misfits songs. It was always a good time with a lot of singing along. Since that’s not happening this year (Press Club is gone from that location now, too), the band was kind enough to post this online for you all. After the rousing set by Sick Burn, we all made our way back to the Cafe for Vinnie Guidera and the Dead Bird. The formal name of the band is “birds” at the end, but one bird(Bass) couldn’t make it so it was singular for the night.
Vinnie is a great songwriter. This one starts out rough audio-wise. It is ALL drums. It gets better a few minutes in. Stick with it or fast forward.

Here’s another show from the seemingly endless backlog of multicam edits that have been on my hard drive & blu ray spindles. Actually, it is not endless. There are only 47 more- I counted them today!
VGDB opened for The Ataris back in 2018. This was the bizarre Ataris show where Kris was sick at the last minute and they played anyway, without him (the only original member). VGDB and Sad Girlz Club’s sets more than made up for it! Still kicking myself for having to miss the next VGDB/Ataris show, which had Kris singing misfits covers with Vinnie & band.
