So, about 22 weeks ago (I never claimed to be fast btw), a guy named Christopher Lee Schneberger commented on the sac music archive fb group, requesting that this show be digitized. I finally got it done and the rebalance turned out really nice. This is the only soundboard that I know about, from the “Out the Shizzy” tour. Nice mix of older and newer(at the time) material.

Rebalance in Izotope RX7 (Vocal +3, Bass +5, Drums +1, Guitar +2)
Here’s another one from the old 1980/90s VHS collection. Usually when you trade for a 4th gen VHS tape, you would expect pure garbage quality.. but this one isn’t that bad. The camera guy did a good job with the closeups and it sounds good as well. It’s watchable.
And look at that hair! Well done, Kevin! 🙂

I took yesterday off from posting since I thought everyone would be watching the SB, but the website got over 200 hits so maybe you all hate sports! Speaking of hating sports, here is a 7 seconds video.
I am confused about this DVD- I have a 3rd gen VHS tape that I traded for in the early 90s, but my DVD of this shows it as ? VHS gen-DVD. I think it is my digitized VHS tape, so I am labeling it that way. When I retire, I’ll get the time to compare.
Only 1 song of this show has been posted to YT before!

Well, this one is not a great video. Stage lighting was SUPER dark that day. The one special thing about this video is the guitar player- Bobby was not with them so they had Chris Carnahan ( D-Vision ) I think on guitar. FIlmed with an Aiwa CV80 and Sony ECM909 Mic

Equipment Used: Aiwa CV80, Sony ECM909
Brian Hanover requested this one. Filmed with the Aiwa CV80 and stock microphone. Sounds better than I remembered.

Here is another show that we were able to improve quite a bit. The audio on the original video is terrible. I was behind the PA and I was using the stock mic from the camera. It is borderline unlistenable. We were able to enhanced the video (which made a big difference), and then synch Anonymous’ audience recording to the video. He was only using a non professional Aiwa, but he bought a nice sony Mic so the results are pretty good. WAY better than before.
Also, please admire Kevin Seconds’ mane of hair and tie dye t-shirt. This has been my fashion template for the pandemic. Just wait until I see all of you again- you won’t recognize me. 😀
PS: John Muheim kept getting in my way. I did not know him then and he was bumming me out. Now we are pals. In fact, the only photo of me videotaping from back then is one that he shot, from this show!

I think this was the last Clear & Distinct show I went to. Stewart Katz was our promoter in town from the early ’80s, starting at Club Minimal until the late ’80s. I caught up with him last year and hear some awesome stories. Thanks Stewart for bringing awesome bands to town- the bills back then were crazy. Also shown in this video (in the background) is my good friend and drummer of my band, Scott Oakes. Rest in Peace buddy. This was 26 years and 1 day ago. I am old. Sorry for the audio, this was before I bought a mic that did not suck.

Here is the very last band to play a Clear and Distinct Ideas show. 7 Seconds headlined Stewart’s last show ever. I cranked the brightness all the way up, please let me know if those stage lights are too annoying.
This is a fun video to watch if you like to hear Steve’s bass lines, not so much if you want to hear Kevin. I have an audience tape that was recorded FOH if anyone wants to synch it for me. REMINDER: I need help with edits, and audio/video synchs. As I work my way through my old masters, I am also digging out audience and soundboard masters that me & “Anonymous” recorded. Holler if you want to help!
PS: I think John Muheim was in my way for a lot of this show, before we knew each other!
PPS: Many appearances by Scott Oakes, who worked stage security. I miss that guy, it’s nice to see him here.

Enhancement: Adobe Premiere increase brightness and exposure, denoise with neat video.
