Solstice- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 5/8/18
I had not heard Solstice, even though they were around back when I was listening to metal regularly. I listened to the debut album and “pray”.. and it was excellent! So, I go to the show and they play primarily new stuff that sounded nothing like the 90s releases. Ah, oh well.

Warsenal opened the Solstice show. Unfortunately, Morbid Angel gave away free tickets to the Ace of Spades show on the same night so no one was there. They were pretty decent for a thrash metal band.

This is amazing! We were so lucky to have The Smoking Popes come to the tiny Press Club in Sacramento a couple of weeks ago- thanks to Sean Hills for bringing them through. These guys have become one of my favorite bands- I just “discovered” them recently, thanks to Sean. This is a 5 cam edit.
